Chinese-made smartwatches have radiation harassment problems

The Guangdong Market Supervision Bureau of China has recently issued a notice on the quality supervision and spot check of smart products in 2020.

Among them, three batches of substandard products, including Disney and Yuqian, were detected in the quality inspection of smartwatches, involving Chinese e-commerce platforms such as Vip.com, Suning.com, and Tmall.

The manufacturers of substandard products are all from Shenzhen, China. They are Shenzhen Baidi Watch Industry Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Yllai Technology Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Snow Angel Technology Co., Ltd.

The reasons for the failure of the three Chinese-made smartwatches are the same: the “radiation spurious disturbance” item does not meet the standards.

Radiation disturbance is a very important electromagnetic compatibility index for electronic products. Every electronic product has its inherent working frequency band. If the electromagnetic disturbance of the surrounding electronic product is serious, it may cause the working performance of the electronic equipment to deviate from the expected index, or cause undesirable deviations in various performances, and in serious cases may also destroy electronic equipment and systems.

In addition, during the inspection of smart wearable devices in this issue, it was also found that a batch of “T08” GSM wireless data terminals produced by Shenzhen Mimitoou Technology Co., Ltd., sold at the mimitoou flagship store of Tmall, was also found that its “radiated spurious harassment” does not meet the standards.
