MKBL and Fardior gas stoves made in China unsafe to use

The Guangdong Market Supervision Bureau of China has recently issued a notice on the quality supervision and spot check of some domestic gas stoves made in China. In this issue, 223 batches of household gas stoves have been supervised and spot-checked. The inspection items include:

Airtightness, thermal load deviation, flame release, flameout, tempering, carbon monoxide concentration in dry flue gas, temperature rise (hands must touch the part during operation), heat shock resistance, gravity shock resistance, flameout protection device, thermal efficiency, intake pipe structure size.

After testing, 63 batches of products were found to be unqualified, and the unqualified rate of the random inspection was 28.3%, involving many Chinese brand products such as MKBL, Fardior, Triangle, Foxconn, Fushun, Liangjiahaomao, Jingshi, Yandi, Maeda, Kangbyen, etc.

For example, an “MKBL” household gas stove sold on the Suning.com e-commerce platform, produced by Ronggui Keweilong Kitchen and Bathroom Appliance Factory in Shunde District, and an “MKBL” household gas stove sold by Zhuhai RT-Mart and produced by Shaoxing Desen Electrical Technology Co., Ltd. The “Fardior” household built-in gas stoves were found to be unqualified for the “carbon monoxide concentration in dry flue gas” items.

Another household gas stove called “MKBL” (Marco Polo or Makeboluo) produced by Zhongshan Makeboluo Electric Co., Ltd. was found to be unqualified for the two items of “carbon monoxide concentration and thermal efficiency in dry flue gas”.

The unqualified items detected in this period also include: “thermal load deviation”, “intake pipe structure size”, “flame protection device”, “tempering”, “temperature rise”, etc. The specific list is as follows.
