U.S. recalls charging boxes, rattle toys, and luminous toys made in China

According to the China Trade Remedy Information Network and Xiamen Technical Trade Measures Information Network on the 16th, the United States has implemented a recall of Chinese-made charging boxes and Chinese-made rattle toys, and the United States and Canada have implemented a recall of Chinese-made luminous toys. Among them, the recalled product is the luminous toy of Battat B. toys, which received 14 reports of parts falling off in the United States, one of which caused children to suffocate. No casualties were reported for the ATH-CK3TW charging box and Playgro’s Clip Clop rattle toy.

Details are as follows:

On April 14, 2021, the US Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of charging boxes made in China.

The recalled product is a charging box, sold together with wireless headphones, and the model is ATH-CK3TW. The charging cable is made of plastic, available in black, blue, white, and red, and the model number is printed on the back.

The product may overheat, posing a risk of fire.

The recalled products were sold in the United States from December 2019 to February 2021, and about 7,450 pieces were sold at a price of US$100-120.

Up to now, we have received 4 reports of overheating of products outside the United States, causing damage to the product and its surface, and no casualties have been reported.

CPSC advises consumers to stop using the product immediately and contact Audio-Technica to replace the product for free.

On April 14, 2021, the US Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of rattle toys made in China.

The recalled product is Playgro’s Clip Clop rattle toy. The product is in the shape of a blue plush pony. Two of the four legs are used as rattles, one leg has a mirror, and the horse’s back has an abacus and 3 beads. “Clip Clop” is printed on the side label; batch numbers 010053 and 010082 are printed on the label at the seam; UPC 9321104011459 is printed on the product package.

The beads on the product may fall off, posing a risk of suffocation for children.

The recalled products were sold in Wal-Mart’s physical stores and online stores from November 2020 to January 2021. About 18,000 pieces were sold at a price of approximately US$5.

Up to now, there have been no reports of accidents or casualties.

CPSC advises consumers to stop using the product immediately and contact Playgro to get a free replacement.

On April 14, 2021, the US Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada announced the implementation of a recall of illuminated toys made in China.

The recalled product is the luminous toy of Battat B. toys. The product comes in blue, green, and red. It will glow when shaken. The SKU is BX1653.

The parts of the product may fall off, posing a risk of suffocation for children.

The recalled products were sold in the U.S. from July 2019 to February 2021, and in Canada from September 2019 to March 2021. The recalled products involved approximately 61,000 units in the U.S. and approximately 210 units in Canada, with prices ranging from 6-10. US dollars.

Up to now, 14 reports of parts falling off in the United States have been received, of which one caused children to suffocate.

CPSC and Health Canada advise consumers to stop using the product immediately and contact Target or Battat for a full refund.
